Based on the chart above, Hong Kong seems more optimistic in Short term. Let’s see China A50

Hong Kong & China share the same trend. (Creating Higher Lo) It was supported by their latest policies. In case you are not aware, China this year was still running a lockdown policy and they’re just reopening in June. Next, the Chinese gov pushed out a few policies to support their economy like decreasing their housing loan rate (LPR, loan prime rate) and many more. https://www.reuters.com/markets/commodities/china-unveils-detailed-stimulus-policies-support-virus-hit-economy-2022-05-31/

If you're aggressive style in share trading, you may consider HK and China markets. What if I’m a conservative style? Don’t worry if you're conservative style, you may consider Unit Trust. Goes to Big Cap if you are conservative. If not, you may consider small-cap funds which have slightly higher risk with higher returns. (Is fair, as 'higher-risk investments may offer the chance of higher-returns'.) I knew some might say that they are suffering from paper loss now. You shouldn’t worry too much as time moves on the fund manager will adjust accordingly. Next, you must know that market is not moving in 1 direction (all the way down) only. Whenever the market goes down, there’s the best time to collect and accumulate. Please read carefully!! IS collect and accumulate! Not in lumpsum! The reason is very simple because we will never know where the lowest point is. The best strategy for now, I would suggest you Dollar Cost Averaging (DCA). Dollar-cost averaging (DCA) is an investment strategy in which an investor divides up the total amount to be invested across periodic purchases of a target asset in an effort to reduce the impact of volatility on the overall purchase.

For your Information. UOB Kay Hian does allow investors to invest in Share Market, Foreign Market and also Unit Trust as well. It connects with over 50 local and global fund houses with more than 3000 funds. You may switch your funds between share market and unit trust now.
